Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Prayer for praises and requests (Michael Perdue)
Heavenly Father, we admit to you that we are weak and needy people. We are nothing without you.  We are in need of your mercy and grace.  There are many among us who are suffering with physical illnesses and infirmities.  There are others who are struggling spiritually.  Lord, we pray that whether it be physical or spiritual that you would work all these things together for good.  That these momentary sufferings will work for our sanctification and for your glory.  Lord, we ask that you would give us a peace that passes understanding and guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit.  Lord we thank you for what you have done, what you are doing, and what you are going to do.  We ask that you would hear our prayers and answer them according to your sovereign will.  We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

(Based on Psalm 33:20-22)
May your soul wait for the Lord; your help and your shield.  May your hearts be glad in him because you trust in his holy name.  And, may the steadfast love of the Lord be upon you as you hope in him.
